Disruptive technology and the COVID-19 situation have unavoidably impacted all medical fields as well as academic institutions. Many universities around the world have closed their doors, and new institutes are few and far between. The global trend of university expansion typically begins with an academic institute, then moves on to a research institute, and finally to an entrepreneurial institute. Forensic pathologists are currently confronted with a challenging situation that has the potential to usher in a new era in our traditional routine practices. As a resolt, the goal of this session is to show participants how to apply medical knowledge to create medical inventions that can lead organisations to entrepreneurial institutes. Second, the author's experience teaching and practicing medical innovation devices will be shared. Finally, we will talk about how to train medical students to be innovative physicians or medical innovators in our medical schools. The author hopes that in the future, all pathology disciplines will be able to develop innovative products to help our profession thrive.
